Moto Edge 60 Launched in India With 30X AI Super Zoom

The Moto Edge 60 has officially launched in India. The device brings one of the best camera setups in the sub-Rs 25,000 segment with its 50MP primary, 50MP ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, which also enables on-device Moto AI features.

While the Moto Edge 60 is the base model of the Edge 60 Series, it does not cut any corners as it retains its 1.5K resolution quad-curved AMOLED display, IP69 rating, and military-grade MIL-STD-810H certification. Let’s look at the detailed specifications and pricing of the device.

The Moto Edge 60 is priced at Rs 25,999 in India for the single 12GB+256GB variant. As for the availability, the device will be sold on Flipkart, Motorola.in, and partner offline stores starting June 17. Customers can also claim an instant discount of Rs 1,000 using Axis Bank and IDFC First Bank cards for a limited time.

The Moto Edge 60 is the successor to the Moto Edge 50, a popular smartphone in India priced under Rs 20,000. The new device features two major performance upgrades and enhanced cameras.

The processor has been upgraded from Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 AE to Dimensity 7400, which brings a 25% boost in raw power. The ultrawide lens has also improved from 13MP to 50MP. The Edge 60 retains the 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and now also has a 30X Super AI Zoom feature.

The Moto Edge 60 now comes with Moto AI features. These include Catch Me Up, which serves as a digital reminder, real-time transcription with Pay Attention, and the Remember This feature, which records your interactions so that you can recall them later.

The battery capacity has also bumped up from 5000mAh to 5500mAh, with support for 68W fast charging. However, the Moto Edge 60 lacks wireless charging, a feature present on the Edge 50.

The Moto Edge 60 features a 6.67-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with a sharp 1.5K resolution (2712×1220 pixels), a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 4500 nits, all protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset with a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, paired with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which is also expandable via microSD card. Running on Android 15, the phone is promised three major OS updates and four years of security patches.

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP f/1.8 Sony LYT-700C primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and 30X AI Super Zoom. On the front, it houses a 50MP f/2.0 selfie camera for high-quality shots and video calls. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP69 water and dust resistance, MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability, and stereo speakers enhanced by Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options cover Dual SIM, 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and GPS, making it a well-rounded choice for both performance and durability.

MSP Take

The Moto Edge 60 sits between the Moto Edge 60 Pro and Moto Edge 60 Fusion. While the Pro variant gets the most powerful Dimensity 8350 Extreme processor, the base and Fusion variants share the Dimensity 7400.

However, the Edge 60 has a similar camera setup to the Edge 60 Pro, as both devices offer a 50MP primary, 50MP ultrawide, and 10MP 3x telephoto lenses. The Edge 60 Fusion lacks a telephoto lens.

With these specifications, the Moto Edge 60 offers a robust camera setup and competes with the Nothing Phone (3a), which offers a similar triple rear camera setup. There’s also the Realme P3 Ultra and the POCO X7 Pro ,which offer better performance, but lag behind the Moto Edge 60 in terms of cameras.
