
Motorola is reportedly working on three new G-series phones, such as the Moto G56, Moto G86, and Moto G96. Prominent leaker Evan Blass recently leaked the full specifications of the Moto G56, and now he’s back again — this time revealing the complete specs sheet of the Moto G86, codenamed “Nice”.
The new leak confirms several upgrades over the G85 and suggests the G86 is gearing up to be a compelling mid-range 5G offering in Motorola’s G-series lineup. Continue reading ahead to learn everything about the upcoming G86.
Moto G86 specifications (rumoured)
- As per Blass’ leak, the Moto G86 5G will feature a 6.67-inch pOLED display with 10-bit colour depth and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports 1.5K (2712 x 1220) resolution and offers a peak brightness of 4500 nits.
- Under the hood, the Moto G86 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300. It will be available in 8GB / 12GB of RAM, 128GB / 256GB of storage, up to 12GB of virtual RAM, and a microSD card slot.
- It will pack either a 5200mAh or 6720mAh battery, depending on the market, with 33W TurboPower charging
- In terms of cameras, the G86 comes equipped with an OIS-assisted 50-megapixel main camera using the Sony LYT-600 sensor, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with autofocus support for macro shots. The front houses a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. The rear camera setup supports PDAF + OIS, while the front camera uses Quad Pixel technology.
- The device will run on Android 15, and Motorola is promising two OS upgrades and four years of bi-monthly security updates (EMEA regions).
- The Moto G86 is built to last with IP68-rated dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810H certification. There will be Gorilla Glass 7i protection for its display.
- The G86 supports dual SIM (nano + microSD hybrid) and eSIM (varies by region), and offers Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and 5G bands across EMEA and AP regions.
- Other features include dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Smart Connect support, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. Lastly, the 5,200mAh battery variant will measure 161.2 x 74.74 x 7.87mm and weigh 185 grams, and its 6,720mAh battery edition will measure 161.2 x 74.74 x 8.65mm and weigh 198 grams.
There’s no word yet on the pricing or exact launch timeline of the Moto G86. However, considering the G56 is expected to go official soon, the G86 may follow not long after. It will be available in multiple Pantone colour options, including Spellbound, Chrysanthemum, Gossamer Sky, and Golden Cyprus.
