Motorola is launching its latest generation of flippable phones in India — the Motorola Razr 50. This launch brings the much-loved bigger cover display to its budget flip foldable, along with a spec-refresh and a bunch of software-related goodies. Motorola Razr 50 is launching for a price of Rs 64,999, making it the cheapest foldable launched in India this year. Buyers can also avail an introductory price of Rs 49,999, which includes a festive discount of Rs 5,000 and a bank offer of Rs 10,000.

Prebooking for the phone will start on 10th September, and it will be available on Amazon.in, Motorola.in and retail partners across the country.

Motorola Razr 50: Features, Specifications

The Motorola Razr 50’s key selling point is its cover display, which is bigger compared to its predecessor. It is a 3.6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1056 x 1066 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, supports 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, supports 10-bit colours and goes up to a peak brightness of 1700 nits. This display is similar to the cover display of the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, which costs Rs 94,999.

The inner display is a 6.9-inch pOLED flexible display with a resolution of 1080 x 2640 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It supports 120% DCI-P3 colour gamut and can reach a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.

Motorola has improved the dust protection for this generation of its foldable phones; the phone has an IPX8 rating for dust resistance. Motorola says it has reduced the hinge volume by 30% and now has 100% less gap. The phone has a thickness of 15.85mm when folded and weighs 192 grams.

Like the recent Motorola phones, the Motorola Razr 50 is available in Pantone curated colours – Koala Grey, Beach Sand and Spiritz Orange.

The Motorola Razr 50 is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 7300X processor and it comes in a single variant of 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFD 2.2 internal storage.

Coming to cameras, the Motorola Razr 50 has a set of dual cameras on the outside – a 50MP main sensor and a 13MP ultrawide + macro sensor. Opening up the phone reveals the 13MP selfie shooter integrated into the punchhole. The phone comes with several AI features integrated into the camera such as AI Adaptive Stabilization, AI Photo Enhancement, AI Action Shot, AI Auto Focus Tracking and more.

The Motorola Razr 50 comes out of the box with Motorola Hello UX based on Android 14. Motorola promises 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates with the phone.

The Razr 50 integrates various AI features powered by Google Gemini with its UI. Buyers can also avail 3 months of Google Gemini Advanced subscription along with 2TB cloud storage space for 3 months.
