Nothing Phone (2) Gets Android 15-Based NothingOS 3.0 Open Beta Update

Nothing has started rolling out the Nothing OS 3.0 based on the Android 15 open beta update for the flagship Nothing Phone (2) users. To recall, the open beta update of the Nothing OS 3.0 was rolled out recently for the Nothing Phone (2a) users.

The Nothing OS 3.0 brings several changes to the smartphone for the lock screen, quick settings, cameras, and more. It brings a new AI-powered Smart Drawer feature to automatically categorise apps into folders.

The favourite apps can also be pinned to the top of the app drawer for better convenience. The Quick Settings menu gets a redesigned interface with an optimised editing experience and enhanced widget library design.

Nothing has also added the Auto-Archive function to up storage space without removing apps or data. It also gets new charging, fingerprint, and predictive back animations.

How to Get NothingOS 3.0 Based on Android 15 Update?

The Nothing Phone (2) users can download the Nothing OS 3.0 based on Android 15 open beta update by following the below-mentioned steps:

  1. Ensure your smartphone runs Nothing OS 2.6 with the Pong-U2.6-241016-1700 build number.
  2. Download and install the APK by clicking here.
  3. Head to the Settings app and choose the System menu.
  4. Tap the ‘Update to Beta version’ option and select the “Check for new version” button.

Nothing also provides an option for users to roll back to Nothing OS 2.6 by downloading the rollback package and following the above-mentioned steps. The package can be installed by choosing the Import file option in the Update to Beta version menu.
