Nothing Phone (3a) Series Cameras Teased
The Phone (3a) series will be the first smartphone from the brand to sport a triple camera setup, which will include a periscope telephoto camera. It will use a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom, and 60x hybrid zoom.
The sensor will be able to capture macro shots and will feature a 70mm portrait focal length. The video shared by the brand adds that the Phone (3a) series will come with TrueLens Engine 3.0 for natural colours for images and videos. The handset will feature a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide snapper, and a 50MP front-facing camera.
The main camera is said to capture 64% more light at the pixel level and has a 300% full well capacity compared to the Phone (2a). It will also support Ultra HDR on all cameras. The teaser also showcases a different placement for the cameras as compared to its predecessors.
Nothing Phone (3a) Series: Specifications (Rumoured)
The Phone (3a) series will feature a Qualcomm SoC with a 25% faster CPU and 72% better NPU performance than the Phone (2a) Plus. However, the brand has yet to reveal the chipset’s name. Previous leaks suggest it could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC.
Nothing is expected to launch the handsets with a transparent design, which will also include a Glyph interface. The teasers also hint at the presence of a new capture control button inspired by the iPhone 16 series. It is expected to sport a 120Hz AMOLED display, a 5000mAh battery, and more.
