Nothing has introduced a new Snake Game widget. It is co-developed by the company and two members from the Nothing Community. The game is now available for all Nothing devices and brings back memories of the original Snake game on Nokia keypad phones. Here are the details.
Nothing Snake Game Widget: How to Install
The new Snake Game widget is available in the Nothing Community Widgets app. You can download the app from the Google Play Store and place the widget on the phone’s home screen. The small 2×2 widget can be played as the classic Snake Xenzia game where your snake grows in size with each milestone.
The Snake Game is an iconic mobile game, which was introduced on Nokia phones in 1997. It is immensely popular among users who started their mobile phone journey with a Nokia keypad phone as this game was included with each device.
The overall theme of the widget game is similar to Nothing OS with a dot matrix design. It blends smoothly with other widgets and the user interface of your phone.
The concept of the Snake game widget was first shared by Rahul Janardhanan on his X (formerly Twitter) profile in January 2024. The Nothing team was impressed with the idea and contacted him. The company worked with Rahul and another community member Thomas Legendre, to launch an official widget for the mini-game.
10/10! 🥳
I learned a lot from this project and enjoyed every minute of it✨
Note: These are just concepts, The idea of this project was to explore the possibilities, bringing them to life is an incredibly hard job.

This is not the first time Nothing has integrated a feature from its community members. Previously, the company had also launched Ear (web) and Simone Glpyh Game, which were concepts from users and other software developers of their community. Once the idea is approved, the feature or game is directly included in the official Community Widgets app so that all users can access it without having to update the complete software of their phone.
