OnePlus has detailed the Green Line Worry-Free Solution in India after it was announced with the OnePlus Project Starlight. The new solution brings advanced display technology, rigorous quality control, and more.

The new initiative from the brand aims to reassure users through advanced display technology, stringent quality control, and an extended service policy of a lifetime warranty. OnePlus has partnered with industry leaders to tackle technical challenges for advancement in display technology.
The brand has integrated a new Enhanced Edge Bonding Layer to utilise PVX edge-sealing materials in all OnePlus AMOLED displays. It is a high-performance material known for its resistance to weathering and chemicals.
The layer will also act as a barrier that slows moisture and oxygen penetration over time, resulting in display lifespan extension. It can reduce the occurrence of green line to the lowest level even in India’s extreme heat and humidity.
The OnePlus Quality Engineering Lab conducts over 180 comprehensive tests on all phones. The tests include electrical performance checks, structural assessments, and environmental ageing evaluations to ensure reliability and durability.
It also conducts a “Double 85” test where displays are exposed to 85°C and 85% humidity for extended periods. These extreme tests will help OnePlus assess the durability and performance of the devices under stress.
Lastly, OnePlus is extending its lifetime warranty against the green line issue to all its smartphone models. All OnePlus smartphone users who own an older model or the latest releases will be eligible for the warranty. The brand aims to protect the user’s investment from display issues.
Robin Liu, OnePlus India CEO, adds that OnePlus was the first manufacturer to offer a lifetime warranty for older models to support affected users last year in the country. The extension of warranty to every OnePlus phone reinforces their belief in the quality and reliability of OnePlus products.
