OPPO’s latest mid-range smartphone has arrived in India in the form of the A5 Pro 5G. The Chinese smartphone giant claims the A5 Pro 5G has been built to withstand India’s most challenging environmental conditions and as such, features MIL-STD-810H military-grade shock resistance and segment-leading IP69 dust and water resistance.
Key features include a 6.67-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, 8GB of RAM, a 5,800mAh battery with 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. On the imaging front, the OPPO A5 Pro 5G has a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone runs ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 out of the box.
OPPO A5 Pro 5G: Built for Indian conditions
The Oppo A5 Pro 5G features MIL-STD-810H military-grade shock resistance and segment-leading IP69 dust and water resistance. The smartphone comes with reinforced double-tempered glass, which OPPO claims improves drop resistance by 160 per cent, and ‘Sponge Bionic Cushioning’ that helps absorb shocks from accidental impacts.
In addition, the aerospace-grade aluminum alloy frame shields critical components of the A5 Pro 5G like the motherboard. The phone can be used whilst wearing gloves and with wet or oily gloves thanks to OPPO’s ‘Splash Touch’ technology.
OPPO A5 Pro 5G: Price, availability, and launch offers
The OPPO A5 Pro 5G is available in two variants – one with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, priced at Rs. 17,999 and another with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, priced at Rs. 19,999. The smartphone will be available via Amazon, Flipkart, OPPO’s online Store, and mainline retail stores, in two colour options – Mocha Brown and Feather Blue.
Launch offers include up to 10 per cent instant cashback (up to Rs 1,500) on credit cards from SBI, IDFC FIRST Bank, BOB Financial, Federal Bank, and DBS, as well as no-cost EMI for up to 6 months with select partners.
