Google teased the launch of the Pixel 7 series at I/O 2022. The company teased the rear panel design of the upcoming Pixel smartphones and confirmed some details, such as a new Tensor chip. The Google Pixel 7 Pro will be the more premium offering of the two and come with a larger display, a bigger battery and a triple-camera setup. The company will announce the official pricing and availability details of the Pixel phones later this year. While we wait for the launch date announcement, a video of the Google Pixel 7 Pro unboxing has surfaced online.
The unboxing video has gone live even before Google confirmed the Pixel 7 Pro’s specifications and features. As seen in the video uploaded on Facebook, the Pixel 7 Pro’s design matches the official design renders teased by Google. It has an aluminium camera strip on the back with a pill-shaped cutout and a tiny circular cutout for the sensors. There is also an LED flash at the right corner of the horizontal camera bar. Upon booting the device, the screen shows the Google Pixel’s official animation sequence. This suggests that the Google phone is indeed an official unit and not some mockup or a prototype. We can also see the charging cable and the documentation packed inside the Pixel 7 Pro’s retail box.
