The event will be held between October 21 and October 23 in Maui, Hawaii. This is usually where the Snapdragon Summits take place. The CMO had previously revealed the forthcoming high-end chipset will come with the Qualcomm Oryon, which is a supercharged CPU, alongside a new NPU (Neutral Processing Unit) for improved processing.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset could have a peak clock speed of 4GHz. The Geekbench database has revealed that the chipset scores 3,000 points in single-core and 10,000 points in multi-core tests. Qualcomm is said to use TSMC’s first-generation 3nm node for the upcoming SoC.

The octa-core architecture of the chipset is said to consist of two prime cores and six high-performance cores. The chipset will pair with the Adreno 830 GPU, which is said to surpass Apple’s M2 chipset in the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test by 10%.

It is suggested that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 ran Genshin Impact smoothly for 45 minutes, maintaining a stable frame rate. This looks impressive provided the game is intensive. Xiaomi is expected to announce the Xiaomi 15 series soon after the event to launch as the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 smartphone.

OnePlus and iQOO will launch the OnePlus 13 and iQOO 13 series, respectively, with the upcoming flagship Qualcomm SoC. Samsung is expected to equip the Galaxy S25 series with a higher-clocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which will debut with the Made for Galaxy tag. Since official details are awaited, it would be best to wait and watch how the new Snapdragon 8-series chipset turns out.
