Redmi 9i Moniker Confirmed by Bluetooth SIG Certification Ahead of Speculated India Launch

The Redmi 9i smartphone might not be too far from now, as it has recently been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification website.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is reportedly in the works to launch its Redmi 9i smartphone in India soon. The Redmi 9i smartphone came to the picture a little while ago, when we received an intel surrounding its launch in India. Today, we have been able to spot the Redmi 9i moniker on the Bluetooth SIG certification website, which not only confirms its moniker, but also suggests that its launch date must not be too far from now. Take a look at the Bluetooth SIG certification for the Redmi 9i smartphone and find out what it has in store for us.

Redmi 9i visits the Bluetooth SIG certification website; launch imminent

As seen in the Bluetooth SIG certification authority website image, the Redmi 9i (with the model number M2006C3LII) has recently received the certification. The device will be a 4G handset, which is quite obvious, given its entry-level nature. The Bluetooth SIG certification also reveals that the Redmi 9i will boot the latest MIUI 12 skin out of the box. Other than what we mentioned, the Bluetooth SIG certification fails to tell us anything else about the device.

That being said, previous reports claim that the Redmi 9i might be a rebranded variant of the Redmi 9A smartphone, which was globally announced a little while ago. If that is the case, we are seeing a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor, coupled with 2GB LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 storage to make its way to the Redmi 9i. Furthermore, the device will most likely come with scope for storage expansion.

In terms of photography, we can expect the Redmi 9i to fashion a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP selfie snapper. Coming to the battery of the device, the Redmi 9i will likely sport a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging and can be charged with a Micro-USB port.
