Xiaomi launched the Redmi K70 series smartphones in the last week of November 2023 in China. The Chinese smartphone giant has introduced the Redmi K70, Redmi K70 Pro, and Redmi K70E smartphones in the lineup. But the K70 series will soon get a new addition in the form of the Redmi K70 Ultra. The upcoming K70 Ultra smartphone will be an improved version of the Redmi K70 Pro.
To recall, Xiaomi launched the Redmi K60 Ultra smartphone in August 2023, along with other Xiaomi smartphones. The brand is tipped to debut the Redmi K70E smartphone under the POCO X6 Pro 5G moniker in the international markets. The vanilla Redmi K70 will also launch in the global markets with the POCO F6 Pro’s branding. Now, Digital Chat Station, a well-known Chinese tipster, has tipped the specifications of the upcoming Redmi K70 Ultra smartphone.
Redmi K70 Ultra Expected Specifications
Through a post shared on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, the tipster reveals that Xiaomi will equip the K70 Ultra smartphone with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset. The chipset is built on TSMC’s 4nm process and sports one Cortex-X4 core at 3.25GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores at 2.85GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.0GHz, and a Mali-G720 Immortalis MP12 GPU.
To recall, Xiaomi launched the Redmi K60 Ultra smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC. Xiaomi is likely to debut the Redmi K70 Ultra smartphone in the first half of 2024. It might be limited to the Chinese market, similar to its predecessor.
The upcoming Redmi smartphone is said to sport a large battery with fast wired charging support. Xiaomi may continue to pack the device with a 5000mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support. The tipster also divulges that the brand will upgrade the optics in comparison to the Redmi K70 Pro smartphone.
In the camera department, leaks suggest that the K70 Ultra will feature 50MP Sony IMX LYTIA 800 primary sensor with OIS. It will be paired with a large 108MP secondary ultra-wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens. Xiaomi is expected to retain the same 6.67-inch OLED panel with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
