The Redmi Note 13 Series will launch in China on September 21. Xiaomi has already announced that the top model in the series, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset along with a 200MP camera. The company has now confirmed that the Redmi Note 13 Pro will launch with the newly announced Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor.

This means that the Redmi Note 13 Series will debut two new processors in the market, the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. These devices are expected to launch in global markets in early 2024.

Redmi Note 13 Pro Will Mark the Debut of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 Chipset

Xiaomi has been releasing teaser images of the Redmi Note 13 Series for the last few weeks. The company has confirmed several specifications of its upcoming devices through teasers, which have received global attention. As per the latest announcement on Weibo, the Redmi Note 13 Pro will be the first device to launch with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor.

Qualcomm had everyone by surprise when the company announced the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset today in China. The new chipset is an octa-core processor based on a 4nm architecture. However, the company has not specified the exact details of the cores used in this chipset.

Xiaomi has not confirmed other details of the Redmi Note 13 Pro. As per a previous benchmark listing, the Redmi Note 13 Pro is expected to ship with a 5120mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.

Xiaomi has only released the camera details of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ so far. The camera specifications of the Redmi Note 13 Pro have not been confirmed yet. As per Qualcomm’s listing, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset supports cameras up to 200MP. However, Xiaomi is more likely to keep the 200MP HP3 Samsung sensor for the top model, which is the Redmi Note 13 Pro+.

Under-Display Fingerprint Scanner Confirmed on the Redmi Note 13 Pro

In another teaser, Xiaomi also confirmed that the Redmi Note 13 Pro will get an under-display fingerprint scanner. This also means that the Redmi Note 13 Pro will feature an AMOLED display, as an under-display fingerprint scanner is not possible to implement on LCD panels.

As per a previous Weibo post, the display resolution of the Redmi Note 13 Pro will be 1.5K. Xiaomi also mentioned that the device will have peak brightness levels up to 1800nits. The panel will also get 1920Hz frequency dimming, along with blue-light protection filters.

From the teasers shared to date, the Redmi Note 13 Pro will have triple rear cameras. The device is expected to get a glass back panel with a frosty design.

The official launch of the Redmi Note 13 Series is scheduled for September 21 in China. Wang Teng, the General Manager of Xiaomi has said that the Redmi Note 13 Series will be one of the biggest launches of the year. He added that the new devices will offer flagship-grade specifications in the mid-range price segment.
