The device was spotted with the model number SM-A166P/DS, where ‘DS’ signifies dual SIM support. The listing on the NBTC also confirms the device’s name.
While no additional specifications were revealed through the support page or the NBTC certification, it suggests that the launch is likely happening soon.
Samsung Galaxy A16 5G on Other Certification Websites
Samsung’s next budget device has already been spotted across multiple certifications, including BIS, Bluetooth SIG, 3C, IMEI, and the UK Carrier database. The 3C listing reveals that the device will feature a 4860mAh battery, which will likely be marketed as 5000mAh.
Geekbench scores for two Galaxy A16 5G models have emerged. One version, possibly for Asian or African markets, comes with the Exynos 1330 5G chipset, while the other is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. Interestingly, the Exynos variant performed better in benchmark tests.
