Samsung Galaxy A72 4G Variant With Snapdragon 720G SoC and 8GB RAM Spotted on Geekbench

Galaxy A72 4G was spotted on Geekbench 5 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor. This means that the Galaxy A72 4G performance unit is the same as the Galaxy A52 4G. The performance unit is paired with 8GB of RAM. The listing further reveals that Galaxy A72 4G boots on Android 11 out of the box. We can expect the smartphone to have a layer of One UI 3.0 on top of Android 11. The Geekbench listing further reveals that Galaxy A72 4G will feature Adreno 618 GPU.

The device managed to score 549 and 1637 in Geekbench 5’s single-core and multi-core test.

The Geekbench listing does not reveal any other details of the Galaxy A72 4G. Samsung has not yet announced the official launch date of the Galaxy A72 4G. The company could launch the 4G model alongside the Galaxy A72 5G early next year.

The Samsung Galaxy A72 4G specifications and design renders were leaked recently. Renders reveal that the 5G model will have a gradient finish at the back. There will be a quad-camera setup inside a rectangular module.

At the front, Galaxy A72 5G will sport a 6.7-inch display with a single punch-hole cutout at the top-centre portion. The device could launch for $599, which roughly translates to Rs 44,035.
