On the first day of the MWC 2025 event, Samsung showcased several products at its booth. The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge was also displayed among other exhibits at the booth. Here’s everything you need to know:
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge’s First Appearance at the MWC 2025:
When Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S25 series at the Galaxy Unpacked Event in San Jose this year, it gave us a brief tease of an upcoming addition. This phone was dubbed the Galaxy S25 Edge. However, nothing else was revealed about this new phone.
A month and 10 days later, the South Korean Tech Giant displayed the phone in all its glory on 3 March 2025. This exhibit made it clear that the Galaxy S25 Edge will measure quite less in thickness. Interestingly, Apple is also rumoured to be working on iPhone 17 Air, which will be another slim phone. If both of these phones make it to the market, then 2025 will be the year of the slim phone.
It is important to note that the attendees at the booth were only permitted to observe the exhibit from a distance. No one was allowed to touch individual devices.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge’s Rumoured Specifications:
By the end of 2024, the S25 Edge was making waves in the tech community. Several sources suggest that the phone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, aligning it with its siblings in terms of performance. The camera department could feature a 50MP wide-angle lens alongside a 200MP primary sensor. Additionally, the device may sport a 6.7-inch S-AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate for a smooth visual experience.
A few weeks ago, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge was spotted on the Geekbench database. The spotting revealed that the phone scored 2,806 in the single-core test and 8,416 in the multi-core test. The listing also reveals that the device will feature the same Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset found in its siblings. For more information on this, you can head here.
