Samsung Galaxy Ring: Key Features
The Samsung Galaxy Ring is the company’s latest wearable, a lightweight health tracker that users can wear all day. Its key features include sleep tracking, heart rate tracking, health tracking, and more. With the Galaxy Ring, Samsung uses a new sleep AI algorithm to track sleep cycles.
It also comes with Cycle Tracking for women’s menstrual health and relies on overnight skin temperature monitoring, similar to the Apple Watch.
The Galaxy Ring also supports various other features, like Heart Rate Alert, which alerts users via Samsung Health notification when it detects a higher heart rate. It will also give users an Energy score based on four factors: Sleep, Activity, Sleeping Heart Rate, and Sleeping Heart Rate Variability.
The Galaxy Ring weighs only 2.3 to 3.0 grams depending on the size, and will be available in ring sizes 5-13 (US measurements). It has a concave design with a Titanium finish outside. Samsung has introduced this in three colours: Titanium Black, Silver, and Titanium Gold. The ring sports a transparent finish underneath, where all the fitness tracking sensors are placed.
The Galaxy Ring will work only with Samsung Galaxy devices. It syncs with the Samsung Health app so users can see their data.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra: Details
As expected, Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Watch Ultra, which will compete with the Apple Watch Ultra. This continues the circular design seen on the Galaxy Watch series but with a new “cushion design” to improve protection.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra has a titanium grade 4 frame and 10ATM water resistance. It will also work at a wider range of altitudes, from 500 metres below sea level to 9,000 metres high. The Watch Ultra is geared towards athletes and adventure seekers who love deep-diving into the ocean or cycling in extreme environments.
The Watch Ultra also has a new dedicated Quick Button to initiate and control workouts and map other functions. It also comes with an Emergency Siren for safety. It will also track multi-course workouts for a triathlon with a new Multi-sports tile.
The Watch Ultra’s peak brightness is 3,000 nits, ensuring legibility even in bright sunlight. Samsung claims the battery lasts up to 100 hours in the Power Saving mode and 48 hours in the Exercise Power Saving. The Galaxy Watch Ultra will be available in a 47-mm size in Titanium Gray, Titanium White, and Titanium Silver.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is available in 40mm and 44m strap sizes. It features a circular design and can track over 100 workouts. It also includes Body Composition for a comprehensive understanding of your body.
The Galaxy Watch 7 also offers a new “De Novo FDA-authorized Sleep Apnea”, claims the company, which is meant to be a “proactive tool to check potential signs of sleep apnea.” With Heart Rate monitoring, users get real-time readings and alerts for abnormally high or low heart rates.
The Watch7 supports detecting irregular heart rhythms suggestive of atrial fibrillation (AFib) with IHRN (Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification) and includes Electrocardiogram (ECG) and Blood Pressure (BP) monitoring. Samsung has also offered these features in the past.
Samsung has also introduced a new feature to track “advanced glycation end products (AGEs).” The company claims AGEs are supposed to reflect the “biological ageing process and provide an indication of metabolic health,” claims the company. According to Samsung, this is also the first Galaxy Watch to sport a Dual-frequency GPS system, which can more precisely track location even in dense urban environments.
