The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is the next big thing from the chaebol, expected to arrive in H2 of 2025. Ahead of the official launch, a new leak has revealed the camera anticipated upgrades for the upcoming seventh-generation foldable from the South Korean brand. The report suggests that the primary and under-display cameras will receive upgrades, with other sensors remaining the same as the predecessor. Here’s what we know.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 to Come With 200MP Primary Camera
According to the Dutch publication Galaxyclub.nl, Samsung’s upcoming flagship foldable will feature a powerful 200MP primary camera on the rear panel. It’s being speculated that the primary camera on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be the same as the flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra. If this rumour turns out to be accurate, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be the first foldable from the brand to come with a 200MP shooter globally.
Apart from the primary camera, the new leak also sheds light on the under-display camera found on the inner display of the device. According to the leak, the UDC will get an upgrade, but the exact details have not been revealed. The camera on the front cover display will continue to be the 10-megapixel unit.
The triple-camera setup on the back is expected to retain the 12-megapixel secondary ultra-wide sensor and 10-megapixel telephoto sensor from the predecessor. AndroidHeadlines recently revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will flaunt an 8.2-inch inner display, a 6.5-inch outer display, the seven-core Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, a 4,400mAh battery, etc.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to launch in July, along with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the company’s first tri-fold smartphone. We will know more details in the coming days and update the blog accordingly, so stay tuned.
