Tecno has launched its new flagship smartphones. The company has announced the Tecno Phantom X2 series, which includes two premium devices. There is the Phantom X2, which shares the processor with the Phantom X2 Pro. The two devices have been unveiled globally. Tecno is likely to launch the phones in India as well.
The Phantom X2 series features a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. The devices also sport a triple-camera setup on the back. Tecno Phantom X2 Series Price and Specifications
The Tecno Phantom X2 Pro is the more premium of the two phones unveiled today. The Phantom X2 Pro comes with 12GB of RAM. The phone’s LPDDR5 RAM is paired with 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. It is priced at SAR 3499 (roughly Rs 76,700). The phone also supports 5GB of virtual RAM. It comes in Mars Orange and Stardust Grey.
The Phantom X2, on the other hand, has 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. It also supports 5GB of virtual RAM. The device is priced at SAR 2699 (roughly Rs 59,100). It has been unveiled in Stardust Grey and Moonlight Silver.
In terms of hardware, both phones sport a tall 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The screen is curved and sports a hole-punch cutout at the top. The display also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. It comes with a 93.5 per cent screen-to-body ratio and has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top for added protection against scratches and accidental drops.
There is a metal frame on both phones. They also feature military-grade anti-glare glass. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. The processor has a peak clock speed of 3.05GHz and is paired with a Mali-G710 GPU. There is up to 12GB of RAM.
The phones also pack a beefy 5160mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging out of the box. The company claims that the phones can charge up to 50 per cent in 20 minutes. In terms of software, the devices run Android 12-based HiOS 12.0 out of the box.
For biometrics, the devices feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and support for AI face unlock.
On the back, there is a triple-camera setup on both devices. The camera sensor setup is different though. The Phantom X2 Pro features a 50MP main camera sensor, a 50MP portrait lens and a 13MP tertiary sensor. For selfies, the phone has a 32MP front camera.
The Phantom X2 5G, on the other hand, has a 64MP main camera sensor with support for optical image stabilisation (OIS). It also comes with a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. There is a 32MP front camera sensor. Both devices measure 164.61×72.65×8.9mm.
