Vivo is gearing up for a new launch event in China. The company will launch a new foldable smartphone called the Vivo X Fold at the event on April 11. Vivo has dropped a few teasers of the device which confirm some details here and there. Alongside the foldable smartphone, Vivo will launch the X Note and the Vivo Pad tablet.

We are still a few days away from the official launch. Ahead of the official event, MySmartPrice has received some key intel about the new foldable smartphone. Tipster Ishan Agarwal has shared the complete specifications and design renders of the new X Fold foldable smartphone. Vivo X Fold Design Renders

Vivo will launch the X Fold in two new colours. The company has already confirmed the Blue colour option. In addition to this, there will be a Grey colour option as well. The design renders shared by Agarwal confirm other key parameters and elements of the foldable phone as well. It will have a slightly curved cover display. Agarwal tells us that the outer screen is 6.53-inch tall and has a 21:9 aspect ratio. In addition to this, there is a hole-punch cutout at the top centre of the phone for the front camera.

The foldable AMOLED display is 8.03-inch diagonally tall and has a 4:3.5 aspect ratio. It has support for a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2K resolution as well. The folding mechanism will be aided by an aerospace-grade wing hinge.

Under the hood, the phone will draw power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It will have 12GB of RAM along with 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. There will be a 4600 mAh battery with support for 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

The rear panel has a wide block at the top portion, on top of which is a circular camera module. The phone has a quad-camera system with a 50MP F/1.75 Main Camera and a 48MP ultra-wide camera. It also features a 12MP portrait camera (47mm focal length) and an 8MP periscope camera with 5X optical zoom and up to 60x digital zoom. For selfies, the device will have a 16MP front camera. Both screens will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Lastly, the phone also has an alert slider on the left edge. The right edge houses the power and volume buttons. It runs Android 12-based Origin OS Ocean on top of Android.
