vivo's latest Y400 Pro 5G smartphone has officially launched in India, offering a sleek 3D curved display and a fashion-forward design aimed at young users. At just 7.49mm thick and weighing 182g, it's being touted as the slimmest phone in its segment with a curved AMOLED screen. The display measures 6.77 inches, supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,160Hz PWM dimming, and peaks at 4,500 nits of brightness—features typically seen in higher-end models.
vivo's Y400 Pro 5G: Price and Specifications
The Y400 Pro supports 4K video recording on both the 50MP Sony IMX882 rear camera and 32MP front shooter, a rare offering in the mid-range category. Vivo is also pushing AI-backed enhancements like AI Photo Enhance, Sony Portrait mode, and AI Eraser 2.0 for cleaner shots and easier post-processing.
Under the hood, the phone runs on MediaTek's Dimensity 7300 5G chipset, paired with 8GB RAM (extendable up to 16GB with virtual RAM) and up to 256GB storage. A 5,500mAh battery is complemented by 90W FlashCharge, which vivo claims can reach 50% in just 19 minutes. Battery safety is reinforced by a 24-dimensional protection system.
Running on Funtouch OS 15 (based on Android 15), the Y400 Pro comes with a commitment of 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches. Smart tools like AI Note Assist, Circle to Search, and SuperLink for smart 5G management are also onboard. The dual stereo speakers with Hi-Res audio certification and IP65 rating round out the daily experience.
As for the price, the vivo Y400 Pro 5G is priced at ₹24,999 (8GB+128GB) and ₹26,999 (8GB+256GB). It will be available from June 27 via Flipkart, Amazon, vivo's India e-store, and partner retail outlets.
