Vivo has launched two Y-series smartphones dubbed as the Vivo Y78t and the Vivo Y33t in China today. The newly launched Vivo Y78t smartphone features a 6.64-inch display that has a Full HD+ resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core chipset which is coupled with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone features a dual-camera setup and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for the security purpose.
As for the Vivo Y33t, this smartphone was launched last year in India with a Snapdragon 680 SoC. Now, the same device is unveiled in China with Helio G85 SoC, report ITHome. The Vivo Y33t is an entry-level smartphone which comes with a 6.56-inch LCD display. The device has a standard 60Hz refresh rate, a 13MP rear-facing camera, and a 5MP selfie camera.

The Vivo Y78t comes in Moon Shadow Black, Snowy White, and Distant Mountain Green colour options. The Vivo Y78t base model which comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is priced at CNY 1199 (Roughly Rs 13,700), while the variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage costs CNY 1299 (Roughly Rs 14,800). The top-end variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage is priced at CNY 1499 (Roughly Rs 17,300). The device will go on sale in China starting from October 23. On the other hand, the Vivo Y33t is priced at CNY 749 (Roughly Rs 8,600) and it comes in Wild Green and Crystal Purple colour options. The smartphone is available for purchase in China via JD.com
The dual-SIM Vivo Y78t runs Android 13 out of the box. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC which is aided with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device features a 6.64-inch IPS LCD display that has a Full HD+ resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, up to 240Hz touch sampling rate, 394 PPI pixel density, and a 91.06% screen-to-body ratio.
In terms of the optics department, the Y78t features a dual-camera setup which consists of a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary depth sensor. The front of the device includes an 8MP selfie camera. The other features which the Y78t offers include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 6,000mAh battery, 44W fast charging, and face unlock support.
Moving onto the Vivo Y33t, it features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display. The device is powered by MediaTek’s octa-core Helio G85 SoC which is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device features a 13MP dual-camera setup and a 5MP selfie camera. The whole package draws power from a 5,000mAh battery which supports 15W fast charging. The smartphone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security purposes.
