Xiaomi has announced the HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 alongside the Xiaomi 15 series smartphones and the Xiaomi Pad 7 series. The latest user interface is said to upgrade the AI experience with fresh and user-friendly functions. Check out the details below.
Xiaomi HyperOS 2: New Features
The HyperOS 2 comes with three core technological innovations, including, HyperCore, HyperConnect, and HyperAI. It offers advanced experience in fundamental functionality, cross-device smart connectivity, and AI interactions for its users.
Xiaomi has also unveiled the Xiaomi Watch S4 with AI features. The HyperCore supports HyperOS 2 with an improved smooth and stable system foundation. The proprietary core technology platform will enhance performance, graphics, network, and security. Here’s a look at the list of the new features:
- AI Lock Screen: The lock screen is based on AI Movie Sense, which will set dynamic images and create customised wallpapers.
- New Desktop: Xiaomi has revamped the desktop layout with a vision upgrade, self-defined content, and enhanced widgets.
- New Weather App: The HyperOS 2 users can see real-time weather using the 3D real-time weather system, which uses a real atmospheric model.
- New Experiences for Smartwatches: The smartwatch dials have undergone a significant design revamp, which improves the aesthetics.
- New TV Screen: The Xiaomi TVs now get a new screen with multiple themes and a control centre for better access.
HyperConnect enables seamless and real-time integration across the Xiaomi ecosystem. The brand adds that HomeScreen+ can be used to drag phone apps into Xiaomi tablets or add them as native apps. It also supports dual-camera streaming between Xiaomi tablets and phones.
The feature also allows connection with Apple smartphones in China with Xiaomi Interconnectivity Services installed. Apple users can access files, share photos, and access keynote, pages, and number files on Xiaomi devices.
The HyperAI uses AI to analyse depth in user-selected videos frame by frame, creating cinematic depth effects on lock screens. Static wallpapers of cities, plants, and more can be animated instantly with AIGC. It also enhances system apps with AI to enhance productivity and usability.
AI writing allows users to quickly edit their text on-screen, and AI sound recognition allows transcribing and identifying speaker-specific audio in calls and generating accurate summaries. On the other hand, the AI subtitles provide real-time translation and interpretation in meetings.
AI Art function on Xiaomi tablets can transform sketches into customised artwork. Xiaomi has also integrated AI anti-fraud for smart identification of fraud.
