Mobvoi has launched its highly anticipated TicWatch Pro 3 GPS to the Indian smartwatch market. With the launch of Pro3, it becomes the first Wear OS by Google smartwatch to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 platform. It also features an improved battery life, blood oxygen tracking, new Tic apps including TicZen, TicBreathe, and TicOxygen, and more workout modes. The entire design has been updated to be lighter, thinner, and stronger, and has an incredibly sleek appearance with a silicone strap.
The TicWatch Pro 3 GPS is fuelled by a 557mAh battery and the company claims that the watch in Smart Mode is capable of delivering a battery life of up to 72 hours of use, while in Essential Mode, it lasts up to 45 days. As per the company, the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS is the first to come on Wear OS by Google to take full advantage of the super-fast performance and ultra-low power of the highly-anticipated Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 platform. The high performance is made possible through the revamped CPU, GPU and memory subsystems while the low power is achieved with the 12-nanometer process and a series of platform optimizations. These enhancements support faster app launches and help to bring a highly fluid and responsive user experience to the smartwatch.
TicWatch Pro 3 GPS feature
Mobvoi worked on an updated design that pushes the boundaries of smartwatch technology. The TicWatch Pro 3 GPS is lighter, thinner, and stronger than its predecessors. It comes with a 47mm in diameter with a thickness of 12.2mm (0.4mm thinner than the TicWatch Pro 4G or Pro 2020) and is made from stainless steel and high-strength nylon plus glass fiber. The company claims that it is 28% lighter than the TicWatch Pro 4G or 2020. Mobvoi included a black interchangeable 22mm silicone watch strap with orange stitching versatile enough for working out and going out.
The watch comes in a futuristic Shadow Black colour option. Additionally, the design team has worked on a range of customizable watch faces so you can choose a theme and face that suits their personality. You can also upload pictures and turn them into custom watch faces through the companion Mobvoi smartphone app.
You can customize your watch to suit you with your selection of helpful Tiles, and manage daily tasks with Google Assistant. Whether you’re adding apps from Google Play, changing watch faces or need a little help, Wear OS by Google makes it all seamless.
Mobvoi’s Dual Display 2.0 technology allows you to opt for Smart Mode, providing up to 72 hours of battery life, or an enhanced Essential Mode, providing up to 45 days of battery life. You can toggle between the 1.4 inch AMOLED Retina screen with automatic brightness adjustment and the power-saving Always-ON FSTN display with a simple flick of the wrist. Not just that, a line up of new features has been added to TicWatch Pro 3 GPS for active users with optimized fitness tracking and health monitoring. Mobvoi’s previous apps including TicHealth, TicMotion, TicExercise and TicSleep are available on the watch.
Furthermore, you don’t have to scroll through and select your workout, Mobvoi developed TicMotion to automatically detect your movement, identify your exercise type, and record your progress whether you’re running, walking or biking. When you’ve stopped working out, it records your workout in TicExercise.
It comes with an IP68 rating, which makes it suitable for swimming. The added barometer measures your altitude in activities like Mountain Climbing, and a built-in GPS enables you to track your workout route, you can see where you are and how high you are. The GPS uses 5 powerful Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) constellations, which are GPS for the US, BEIDOU for China and most of Southeast Asia, GALILEO for Europe, GLONASS for Russia and QZSS for Japan.
The TicWatch Pro 3 GPS will be available on amazon at a launch price of Rs 27,999 from 20th October onwards.
