Motorola has confirmed the launch of a new E-series smartphone. The company’s E-series is mostly an entry-level offering from Motorola. The latest entrant in the E-series would be the Moto E22s. Motorola has confirmed that the E22s will launch in India on October 17. The phone was already launched earlier this year in a few markets.

The Moto E22s is claimed to offer a premium design. It will launch in two colours – Arctic Blue and Eco Black. Motorola has also revealed that the phone will be offered with a single storage option. Let’s take a look at the Motorola Moto E22s specifications, features and other details.

Moto E22s India Launch Date

Motorola has confirmed that its new budget smartphone, the Moto E22s, will launch in India on October 17 and will be available via Flipkart. The device’s specifications have also been confirmed ahead of its official debut. According to the official listing, the Moto E22s will sport a 90Hz display.

The screen is 6.5-inch tall and comes with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. It also features a 20:9 aspect ratio. At the top centre, the phone has a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. The screen comes with fairly thin bezels, except that the chin bezel is quite thick than the rest.

Under the hood, the E22s draws power from a MediaTek Helio G37 SoC. The chipset is quite popular among budget smartphones under Rs 10,000. It will be paired with 4GB of RAM. There is support for storage expansion up to 1TB via a microSD card slot. The device packs a 5000mAh battery under the hood and supports 10W charging via a USB Type-C port. 

The E22s weighs about 185 grams and is 8.49mm thick. It has an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance.

On the back, there are two cutouts for the camera sensors. There is a 16MP f/2.2 main camera along with a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the phone has an 8MP front camera. The device comes with a single speaker, Bluetooth 5.0 support and runs Android 12-based MyUX out of the box.
