Moto E7 Plus India Launch Teased; Will be Flipkart Exclusive

The Moto E7 Plus will most likely be an affordable offering, succeeding last year's Moto E6 Plus smartphone.


Lenovo-owned Motorola has teased the launch of a new smartphone in India. As per Flipkart listing, the handset will break covers on August 25th in the country. The vendor has also posted an official video of the phone via its account on Twitter, which suggests it could be Moto E7 Plus. The colour variant and design, including waterdrop notch display, headphone jack at the top edge, and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, shown in the video seems to be in line with the alleged renders of the E7 Plus. The handset is expected to be an affordable offering that may come clad in a polycarbonate body with a squarish camera module at the back.

Flipkart is asking customers what they want to see on the upcoming Motorola smartphone, and as per which, the Moto E7 Plus could ship with a 4,000mAh+ battery and up to 6.3-inch display. The e-commerce platform also reveals that the phone could be powered by either Snapdragon 450/ Snapdragon 600-series chipset, but rumours are rife it could come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 SoC ticking at its core. The SoC is tipped to be paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage onboard, which is likely to be further expandable using a microSD card.

Additionally, Moto E7 Plus is also expected to sport dual rear cameras, headlined by 48MP sensor. The handset is likely to boot a near-stock version of Android 10 out of the box. The smartphone is tipped to sport Type-C port for charging at the bottom edge. That’s all we know so far!

In related news, there are rumours that the vendor is also working on Moto E7 smartphone. The handset could be a watered-down version of Moto E7 Plus. Rumours are rife that the Moto E7 could sport a 6.2-inch HD+ (720 x 1,520 pixels) 18:9 aspect ratio display, 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras, 5MP selfie sensor, up to 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, Snapdragon 632 SoC, and a 3,550mAh battery.
