Motorola is gearing up for the launch of the Moto Edge 30 5G in India. The new Motorola smartphone will be the second in the series after the Edge 30 Pro, which was launched earlier this year. Unlike its Pro sibling, the vanilla Edge 30 has a Snapdragon 700-series SoC. The Edge 30 features a Snapdragon 778G+ SoC.

Motorola will launch the Moto Edge 30 in India on May 12. The device’s pricing details have surfaced online ahead of its official launch. According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, Motorola will launch the device in India for under Rs 30,000. The tipster claims that the phone will come with a launch price of Rs 27,999. There will be a bank card offer, which will offer a Rs 2,000 discount or cashback. This will bring the effective price down to Rs 25,999, according to the tipster. Yadav did not reveal the RAM and storage details of the device. We can expect the phone to offer 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
We are a couple of days away from the launch. Therefore, it is best to take the leaked pricing details with a pinch of salt.
Moto Edge 30 Specifications
The Edge 30 features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. There is support for a 144Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The 10-bit display also comes with an HDR10+ certification. Under the hood, the phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC.
The device packs a 4,020 mAh battery with support for 33W TurboPower fast charging. It has a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50MP main camera. The primary camera supports optical image stabilisation (OIS). The phone also has a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 118-degree field of view. The ultrawide camera doubles up as a macro sensor. Lastly, there is a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the Edge 30 has a 32MP front camera sensor.
