Motorola has been quite busy over the past few weeks in India with the launch of multiple Moto G series phones and also a mid-range tablet. Now, it looks like the company is shifting its focus to the premium segment as the Moto Edge 30 Pro smartphone is expected to launch in India as well as the global market soon. In all likely hood, the Edge 30 Pro will be a rebranded version of the Moto Edge X30, which was launched in China back in December. Let’s take a look at the Edge 30 Pro expected launch date, expected specifications, and more.
Moto Edge 30 Pro India and Global Launch Date Tipped
According to a report from 91mobiles, the company is planning to launch the Moto Edge 30 Pro in the month of February. While the exact launch date was not provided, tipster Mukul Sharma says the device will make its debut both in India as well as in the global market in February. Earlier in January, the Moto Edge 30 Pro was spotted on the NBTC database and since the Edge 30 Pro and Moto Edge X30 come with a similar model number, the Edge 30 Pro could carry the same set of specifications in features of the Moto Edge X30. Let’s take a look at the specifications of the Edge 30 Pro.
As per the earlier leaks, the Moto Edge 30 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with up to 12GB of RAM 一 same as the Moto Edge X30. The device will run on Android 12 out of the box. The Edge 30 Pro is also expected to pack in a 6.7-inch FHD+ 10-bit POLED display with a 576Hz touch sampling rate, 700nits peak brightness, and 144Hz refresh rate.
In terms of optics, we can expect the Edge 30 Pro to feature a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP main sensor, 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth lens. For selfies and video calls, it offers a 60MP camera on the front. The device is packed with a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast-charging support.
