Motorola is expected to launch the successor of last year’s Edge 30 Pro – the Moto Edge 40 Pro in the coming weeks. The upcoming Moto Edge 40 Pro might be a rebranded Moto X40 which was introduced a couple of months ago in the Chinese market. In the latest development, the famous leaker Evan Blass has posted the Moto Edge 40 Pro design renders and marketing material on Twitter.

The design renders leaked by the tipster once again confirm that the Moto Edge 40 Pro is nothing but a rebranded Moto X40. Let us take a closer look at the leaked design renders and what we know about the smartphone so far.

The Moto Edge 40 Pro will feature a curved display panel with a centered punch-hole notch. The leaked renders also reveal a triple-rear camera setup with an LED flash. The smartphone appears to have a back panel with curved sides.

The Moto Edge 40 Pro will feature Dolby Atmos audio support and might be equipped with a stereo speaker setup. The leaked renders showcase the handset in black and blue colour option. The promotional materials also confirm that the Moto Edge 40 Pro will feature a water-resistant rating.

The Moto X40 flaunts a 165Hz OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It is a 10-bit display that measures 6.67 inches in size. The smartphone is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and boots Android 13 out of the box.

The Moto X40 sports a triple-rear camera setup that consists of a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation. It also packs a 12MP portrait lens and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The handset is also equipped with a 60MP front shooter for selfies and video calls. It offers a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos audio support.

The Moto X40 comes equipped with a 4600mAh battery unit. It supports 125W TurboPower fast charging over a Type-C charging port. The handset also supports wireless charging and reverse wireless charging at 15W. It also feature IP68 rating making it water and dust resistant.
