Motorola is expected to launch the Moto X40 smartphone soon as a company spokesperson recently teased the device in China. The Moto X40 with model number XT2301 has already been spotted on the TENAA and 3C certification websites. Now, we have spotted the upcoming Moto Edge 40 Pro with the model number XT2301-4 on the TDRA certification website.
The similarities in the model numbers confirm that the Moto Edge 40 Pro will be a rebranded Moto X40 for the global markets. Apart from the TDRA certification website, the upcoming Moto Edge series smartphone also made an appearance on the EEC certification website. The recent certification listings for the Moto Edge 40 Pro do not reveal anything in terms of specifications. However, the specifications of the Moto X40 have already been leaked in the past.
Last year’s Moto X30 was the first smartphone to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. There are speculations that the Moto X40 will be the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powered smartphone. This means that the Moto Edge 40 Pro will also be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
Chen Jin, General Manager, Lenovo Mobiles has already confirmed that the Moto X40 will use LPDDR5X RAM. Apart from it, the Moto Edge 40 Pro is said to feature a triple-rear camera setup with a 50MP primary shooter. The device might offer a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. The smartphone will come equipped with 68W fast charging support.
The TENAA certification listing for the Moto X40 revealed a curved OLED display on the device. It is said to have a 165Hz refresh rate. Based on this, we can expect the Moto Edge 40 Pro to offer a Curved OLED display with 165Hz refresh rate.
