Motorola introduced the Moto Edge+ 2022 smartphone back in March 2022. The device was launched in the US market as a rebrand of the Moto X30. Now, it looks like Motorola is prepping to introduce the Moto Edge+ 2022 sucessor soon in the form of the Moto Edge+ 2023. The upcoming Moto Edge+ 2023 is spotted on Google Play Console ahead of the launch. The listing reveals the key specifications of the handset ahead of the official debut.
Moto Edge+ 2023 Specifications Detailed
As per the details revealed by the Google Play Console listing, the upcoming Moto Edge+ 2023 will feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The device will pack 12GB of RAM. The handset will have a Full HD+ resolution and a punch-hole cutout which will house the selfie camera. As for the software, this upcoming device will run Android 13 out of the box.

To recall, the same device was also listed on Bluetooth SIG Certification a few days back. The certification revealed that the Moto X40 will be rebranded as the Moto Edge+ 2023 for the US market, and Moto Edge 40 Pro for the global market. Considering that the device will be a rebrand, we expect it to offer the same specifications as the Chinese variant.
The Moto Edge+ 2023 will feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The device will have Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Powering the handset under the hood there will be an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor accompanied with up to 12GB LDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.
As for the optics purpose, the Edge+ 2023 will boast a triple-rear camera setup. The camera module will include a 50MP primary camera with OIS support. The 50MP primary sensor will be accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12MP portrait lens. The smartphone will feature a 60MP frontside for the selfies and video-calling purpose.
The device will pack a 4600mAh battery unit which will offer 125W TurboPower fast charging support. The handset will also offer support 15W wireless charging as well as 15W reverse wireless charging. As far as the rest of the specifications go, the phone will feature a USB Type-C port, a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, an IP68 rating, 5G, WiFi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS.
