Motorola just unveiled its latest flagship under the Edge lineup. The Moto Edge X30 is the world’s first device with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Alongside, Moto has also announced a version of the handset that comes with an under-the-display front camera. The Edge X30 features a 60MP front shooter which is the highest resolution selfie shooter that we have seen so far on a smartphone. Moto Edge X30: Price and Availability

The Moto Edge X30 comes in three storage-memory configurations – 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB. The base 8GB + 128GB variant of the handset is priced at RMB 3,199 (approx Rs. 37,922) and the 8GB + 256GB variant of the handset is priced at RMB 3,399 (approx Rs. 40,306). Whereas the 12GB + 256GB variant will cost RMB 3,599 (approx Rs. 42,678).

The Moto Edge X30 with under the display selfie camera is available only in 12GB + 256GB configuration and will be sold for RMB 3,999 (approx. Rs. 47,421). It will be up for grabs starting December 15th in China. As an introductory offer, the brand is offering RMB 200 discount across variants.

Moto Edge X30: Specifications and Features

The Edge X30 offers a 6.7-inch FHD+ POLED display with a 2400 × 1080 pixel resolution, and a 700nits peak brightness. The 10-bit display panel on the device refreshes up to 144 times and seconds and supports a 576Hz touch sampling rate. It is HDR10+ certified as well, and houses the front shooter inside a punch-hole notch.

Powering the device is the all-new octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile processor, built on Samsung’s 4nm fabrication process, and is based on ARM v9 architecture. It comes with an integrated Adreno 730 GPU and an X65 5G modem. It features a Cortex X2 based Kryo Prime core clocked at 3.0GHz, 3x A710 based Kryo performance cores clocked at 2.50GHz, and 4x A510 based Kryo efficiency cores clocked at 1.80GHz.

The Edge X30 comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device comes pre-loaded with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS – Android 12 with MyUI 3.0 on top. The device is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit and 68W fast-charging support.

Moving on to the optics, the Edge X30 comes with a triple rear camera setup and a LED flash. The primary 50MP sensor on the device gets accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth lens. The primary 50MP sensor also has optical image stabilization (also known as OIS). For selfies and video calls, it offers a 60MP sensor at the front.

The Edge X30 has a USB Type-C charging port, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Though, it lacks the 3.5mm audio jack. Connectivity options include Dual Sim, 5G, 4G, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS. The handset weighs 194grams and measures 163.56 x 75.95 x 8.49mm.
