Motorola is launching the Moto G 5G today in India. The smartphone is already available in select international markets. Motorola claims that the smartphone will be the most affordable 5G smartphone in India. The smartphone will be launched today at 12 pm and will be available for purchase via Flipkart. Moto G 5G will be the first smartphone in India to come packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor, which sits below the Snapdragon 765G chip. Motorola has confirmed that the company will be bringing a 6GB RAM variant of the Moto G 5G with 128GB of internal storage. Internationally, the company has launched only a 4GB RAM variant of the smartphone.

Ahead of the launch, Motorola has announced that the Moto G 5G will be the most affordable 5G smartphone in India. This means that it is likely to undercut the OnePlus Nord, which is currently the most affordable 5G smartphone in India starting at Rs 24,999 with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage.

We can expect the Moto G 5G price in India to be set between Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000.

Internationally, it comes in Frosted Silver and Volcanic Grey colour options.

Moto G 5G specifications

Moto G 5G sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The device comes with a hole-punch cutout display at the top-centre. Since it has an LCD, the fingerprint sensor is placed at the back with Motorola’s batwing log engraved on it.

Under the hood, the smartphone draws its power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G processor along with Adreno 610 GPU. It is paired with 4G RAM and 128GB of internal memory. Storage can be further expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.

For optics, the device comes with a triple-camera setup. There is a 48MP primary lens with an f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 118-degree FoV, and an f/2.2 aperture. It also features a 2MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The phone features a 16MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The Moto G 5G is IP52 rated making it water-resistant.

The device packs a 5,000mAh battery with 20W TurboPower fast charging support. In terms of connectivity, it supports 5G SA/NSA Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, NFC, and USB Type-C port. The phone measures 166.1 x 76.1 x 9.9 mm and weighs 212 grams.
