Motorola has teased the launch of the Moto G100. The smartphone is confirmed to launch on March 25 in Germany. The official product images of the Moto G100 have also leaked ahead of the March 25 launch. G100 is a rebranded version of the Moto Edge S launched in China. We can expect the phone to pack the same specs as the China variant. The device comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. It also sports a quad-camera setup on the back. Leaked images from LetsGoDigital suggest that the G100 is a rebranded version of the Moto Edge S launched in China. The Moto Edge S price in China starts at CNY 1,999 for the base 6GB + 128GB variant. It is roughly Rs 22,500 in India. We can expect the Moto G100 price in India to launch for under Rs 25,000 if the company decides to bring its mid-range smartphone.
The USP of the Moto G100 is its performance unit. The device packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, which sits below the flagship 888 SoC. We can expect the G100 to launch in 6GB/ 8GB RAM variants.
Moto G100 specifications
The G100 features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD. It has a 90Hz refresh rate and a 21:9 aspect ratio. The display is claimed to have 560 nits of peak brightness and HDR10 certification.
Under the hood, the phone draws power from a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. It is likely to be paired with 6GB/ 8GB of RAM and 128GB/ 256GB of internal storage. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports up to 20W fast-charging.
On the back is a 64MP quad-rear camera setup. The device also has a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a ToF sensor. It has a dual hole-punch cutout for the 16MP wide and 8MP ultrawide cameras.
It also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone runs on Android 11 out of the box.
