E-commerce platform Flipkart has confirmed the launch of the first Motorola tablet in India in a long time. After teasers posted in its Big Billion Day pages, the platform confirmed that the Motorola Moto G20 tablet will be coming to India on September 30th. Tips and leaks about the tablet’s launch date have been coming in for a while now. Tipster Mukul Sharma had also reported the launch date for the device yesterday. While the pricing of the device hasn’t been revealed yet, the specifications suggest that it should be priced in the budget range and will take on similar offerings from Samsung.

Moto G20 Tablet specs and features

Speaking of the specs, the Moto G20 Tablet runs on the MediaTek Helio P22T chipset and has an 8-inch HD display. There’s 3GB of RAM onboard and 32GB or 64GB storage options. The device will be powered by a 5100 mAh battery. This should tell you why we expected the device to be priced in the budget range. After all, when was the last time you heard of a mobile device with 3GB of RAM being priced at anything more than Rs. 10,000 right?

Other than that, the Moto G20 Tablet will also have a 5MP camera on the back and a 2MP camera on the front. It will have Android 11 out of the box and will have a 3.5 mm audio jack, front mounted speakers and Dolby Atmos audio optimisation.

Anyway, while we’re talking about Motorola, it also seems like the company will launch a new smart TV in India alongside the new tablet. Not much is known about the TV right now, but we can be pretty sure that it will run on AndroidTV out of the box.

The company, which once commanded a dominant position in India’s budget smartphone market, has been seeing fewer volumes in India over the past few years. With Chinese companies like Xiaomi, Realme etc. pushing the boundaries in terms of specs and pricing, Motorola has lost its market share. The company no longer ranks in the top 5 smartphone sellers in the country, though the tablet space doesn’t have the same kind of competition smartphones do either.
