Moto G22 India Launch Tipped to Take Place Next Week: What We Know So Far

The Moto G22 budget phone was launched globally back in March and now, the phone is all set to launch in India. According to a report from 91mobiles, the Moto G22 will launch in India in the next week itself, which is somewhere between April 4 and April 8. The phone was launched on March 4 in the European markets and it is a 4G device.

In Europe, the phone comes in single RAM and storage options and the device is also priced under Rs 15,000. Some of the key specifications of the device include a 90Hz screen refresh rate display, a large 5,000mAh battery, and a near-stock Android experience.

Moto G22 India Launch Timeline

As said earlier, the device is expected to launch in India in the second week of April. While Motorola is yet to send out invites or confirm the launch date, the phone is expected to launch somewhere between April 4 and April 8 (excluding weekends). Here is what the Moto G22 brings to the table.

Moto G22: Specifications

The new Moto G22 comes with a boxy design, which looks slightly premium, at least in the renders. The device sports a 6.5-inch HD+ screen with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a screen refresh rate of 90Hz. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G37 processor. This is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is an option to add more storage using a microSD card.

In the camera department, the handset comes with a quad-camera setup led by a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro. For selfies, the phone has a 16MP front camera sensor. The phone runs Android 12 out of the box. Furthermore, the device pulls power from a 5000 mAh battery and it comes with only 10W charging support out of the box. Lastly, the device weighs about 185 grams and is 8.49mm thick.
