The Moto G42 will be available for purchase for the first time today in the country. To recall, the handset made its global debut last month and was launched last week in the Indian market. The latest Motorola handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor which also means that it doesn’t support 5G. The Moto G42 offers an AMOLED display but it is a standard 60Hz refresh rate panel.

The latest G-series smartphone flaunts a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 2400 × 1080 pixel resolution, 409ppi pixel density, and 20:9 aspect ratio. The display panel comes with a centered punch hole notch.

Under the hood, the Moto G42 sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor. The graphics duties on the device are taken care of by an integrated Adreno 610 GPU. The Motorola smartphone boots Android 12 out of the box. The company is also promising one Android update, that is Android 13, along with three years of security patch updates.

The latest Moto smartphone offers a triple-rear camera setup including a 50MP primary shooter. The high-resolution sensor on the Moto G42 gets accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens which has a 118° field of view and also doubles as a depth sensor.
