Motorola has launched a new G-series smartphone in India. The Moto G51 5G is the company’s new budget 5G smartphone launched in India. It comes days after the launch of the Moto G31, which was another budget smartphone but came with only 4G network support. The G51 is Motorola’s most affordable 5G smartphone and comes with support for as many as 12 5G bands. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ SoC under the hood. Moto G51 price in India

The Moto G51 has been launched in India in a single 4GB RAM option. The device has 64GB of internal storage and is priced at Rs 14,999. It comes in two colours – Bright Silver, Indigo Blue. The budget 5G smartphone goes on sale starting December 16 via Flipkart.

Specifications and features

The G51 comes to India days after its international unveiling. The phone sports a tall 6.8-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD. It has a hole-punch cutout at the top for the front camera. The device has a Full HD+ resolution display with 120Hz refresh rate support. It comes with an 83.81 percent screen-to-body ratio and a 20:9 aspect ratio.

Under the hood, the phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ SoC. It is paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage. Users can expand the storage via a microSD card slot. The device has a 3.5mm headphone jack and comes with support for Bluetooth 5.1, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, a USB Type-C port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, etc.

On the back, there is a vertically aligned triple-camera setup. It has a 50MP primary camera sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The phone also features a 13MP front camera sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. The phone runs Android 11-based MyUX. It packs a 5000 mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging out of the box.
