Moto G72 With MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, 6GB RAM Listed on Geekbench Ahead of Launch on October 3

The Moto G72 smartphone is all set to launch in India next week. The company has already confirmed the launch of the phone in India. The latest budget device in the Moto G series, the Moto G72 will be launched on October 3rd.

Ahead of the launch, Flipkart has already confirmed most of the specifications of the device and now, we have spotted the device on the Geekbench database. The Moto G72’s listing on the Geekbench website reveals the device’s processor, RAM, and OS version. Let’s take a look at the upcoming Motorola smartphone in detail.

Moto G72 Spotted on Geekbench

The Moto G72 has been listed on the website with an octa-core SoC with six cores running at 2GHz and two cores running at 2.2GHz. The device has “Vicky” as the motherboard codename. This is the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, which the company has already confirmed to feature on the G72 device.


Further, the device is listed to come with 6GB of RAM and since Motorola usually launches only one variant in the G series, we can expect the device to be paired with 128GB of storage. Further, the phone will run on Android 12 out of the box. As for the scores, the Moto G72 has secured 534 in the single-core and 1781 in the multi-core test.

Moto G72 Specifications

The Moto G72 will come with a 10-bit 120Hz pOLED display offering up to 1 billion colours. The device will come with a 108MP main camera on the back accompanied by an ultra-wide angle camera and a depth sensor. The device will come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It will draw power from the 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an in-display fingerprint scanner, near-stock Android 12 OS, Thinkshield for mobile security, IP52 rating, and it will come in Polar Blue and Meteorite Grey colour options.
