Moto has launched its new Moto G73 5G smartphone in India. The Indian variant of the smartphone has slightly different specifications compared to the previously launched device in Europe. The smartphone is a successor to the existing Moto G72 4G device. The G72 5G has been due for an upgrade since it lacked the support for 5G. The new G73 has a Dimensity 930 SoC, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, Android 13 and more. Let us have a detailed look at the smartphone’s pricing, availability and specifications.

Moto G73 5G: Pricing and Availability

Motorola has launched the smartphone in a single variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The introductory pricing of the device starts at Rs 16,999 and will go on sale from March 16 in India. The smartphone’s regular price starts at Rs 18,999 and is available on Flipkart. The device will also be available at Motorola.in and leading retail stores, including Reliance Digital. The smartphone will be available in Midnight Blue and Lucent White colour options. 


Motorola also offers an additional Rs. 2,000 on the exchange or an instant discount on purchases made using HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI, and AXIS Bank credit cards. The brand also lets consumers choose to avail No cost EMIs of 3 and 6 months from HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI, and AXIS Bank.

Moto G73 5G Specifications

Moto G73 5G features a 6.5-inch LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution. The display will have a refresh rate of 120Hz and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The company has downgraded the display to LCD from the AMOLED panel of the Moto G72 smartphone. Motorola has equipped the display with a punch-hole in the centre.

Underneath, the G73 5G will equip the MediaTek Dimensity 930 chipset built on a 6nm process. The smartphone will run on My UX based on Android 13 out of the box. The 128GB of storage of the smartphone is a downgrade from the global variant, which has 256GB of storage. However, Motorola allows the storage expansion of up to 1TB using a micro-SD card slot. 

It will sport a dual-rear camera setup on the optics front with an integrated LED flash on the module. The brand uses an ultra-pixel 2µm camera, a flagship-grade sensor. The structure will comprise a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF. An 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture accompanies the sensor. The punch-hole in the display houses the 16MP selfie camera. 

The smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 30W fast charging. The smartphone uses USB type C 2.0 and gets Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. Motorola has equipped the smartphone with support for 13 5G bands. The power button also acts as a fingerprint sensor and supports face unlock. Motorola has launched the device with a water-resistant design. 

The smartphone has an IP52 rating which can protect the smartphone from water splashes. The device has a dimension of 161.4 x 73.8 x 8.3 mm and weighs 181 grams. Other specifications of the smartphone include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
