Motorola is gearing up to launch multiple phones under the Edge series and G series. The company will be launching the Moto G22 in India later today and in the coming weeks, the company is expected to launch the Moto Edge 30, Edge 30 Lite, Moto Frontier, Moto E32, and Moto G82 5G. All the aforementioned phones have been spotted on multiple certification sites in the past and they are expected to make their debut in the coming week.
The Moto G82 5G phone, which was previously spotted on TDRA, Geekbench, EEC and Wi-Fi Alliance databases has been now spotted on SIRIM in Malaysia and FCC certification. With the phone bagging two more certifications, we are expecting it to launch soon.
Moto G82 Spotted on SIRIM Listing
The Moto G82 5G, which was previously spotted on multiple listings with XT2225-1 and XT2225-2 model numbers has been now spotted in Malaysia on the SIRIM website (Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia) with XT2225-1 model number. The listing confirms the phone’s moniker as the Moto G82 5G. The phone has been listed under Motorola branding and the application name has been registered by Lenovo, which is not surprising as Lenovo owns Motorola.
With the same model, the phone has been spotted on FCC as well. The FCC website reveals the phone’s dual SIM support, support for NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi and 5G as well.
With the same number, the Moto G82 5G has been spotted on UL Demko and TUV websites as well, revealing the battery capacity and charging speed of the device. As per the listing, the Moto G82 5G will come with a 5,000mAh battery and 33W fast charging.
Apart from the model number and confirmation of the name, the listing does not reveal much information about the upcoming Moto G series phone. But, we can expect the phone to launch soon as the phone has already bagged all the major certifications including BIS certification, which means the phone might also launch in India soon.
Moto G82 5G Specifications
As per the previous listing on Geekbench, the Moto G82 5G will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G processor, which is an octa-core processor with a base frequency of 1.8GHz and a max frequency of 2.21 GHz. The chipset will be paired with Adreno 619 and will come with 8GB of RAM. The phone will run on Android 12 out of the box. The Wi-Fi Alliance database reveals support for dual-band Wi-Fi.
