Update: Motorola has confirmed that the Moto G84 5G will launch in India on September 1. The micro-site in Flipkart confirms the Flipkart availability and key specifications of the device. Motorola will equip the device with a 6.55-inch pOLED display with a peak brightness of 1300 nits.
Under the hood, it will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC. Moto will equip the device with a 50MP primary camera with OIS and 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The device will be backed with a 5000mAh battery with 30W TURBOPOWER fast cjarging tech.

The smartphone’s key specifications were revealed through FCC listing, including a 5600mAh battery. Popular tipster Mukul Sharma, Aka Stufflistings, has shared the launch timeline of the smartphone in India. The tipster also reveals the key specifications of the G84 5G smartphone.
Mukul Sharma revealed through a new post in X (formerly Twitter) that Motorola will launch the Moto G84 5G smartphone in September in India. The tipster adds that the global launch of the smartphone will first take place in India. The upcoming G84 5G will be the successor to Moto G82 5G smartphone. The tipster confirms that the smartphone will be launched in the Viva Magenta colour option.
For reference, Viva Magenta is Pantone’s colour of 2023, launched along with several other Motorola smartphones. Motorola will equip the smartphone with a premium leather finish on the rear. Mukul also shared a render of the smartphone, which confirms the presence of a 120Hz refresh rate panel. The render also confirms that the device will have a 10-bit pOLED panel similar to Moto G82 5G.
However, the tipster has yet to reveal the exact dimensions and resolution of the panel. Mukul confirms that the top-end variant of the device will be available with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The press renders shared by Evan Bliss confirm that the device will feature a dual rear camera setup. The image reveals that the upcoming Moto G84 5G will have a 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). The power button and volume rockers can be seen on the right.
The left side of the smartphone is clean except for the SIM card tray. A 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, speaker grille, and primary microphone can be seen on the bottom of the smartphone. Motorola will equip the smartphone with a centred punch-hole with thin bezels around the display. The company will launch the smartphone in Ballad Blue and Outer Space colour options in addition to the Viva Magenta variant.
The smartphone’s FCC certification and TDRA listing revealed the model number XT2347-2. The FCC certification confirms that the device will have a 5000mAh battery. The smartphone will be equipped with 33W fast charging tech. The TDRA listing also confirms the moniker of the upcoming device. A past leak revealed that Motorola will launch the smartphone in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Motorola is expected to announce the smartphone’s launch in the upcoming weeks.
