Motorola is gearing up for the launch of the Moto Razr 2022 in China. The company has confirmed that its foldable smartphone will get a new design this year. Ahead of the official launch, Motorola has teased the design of the Razr 3. Lenovo’s general manager of mobile business Chen Jin showcased the front of the device, revealing the new design.
The image confirms that the Razr 3 will not have a thick chin like its predecessors. The foldable phone has more rounded corners on the outside as well. Moto Razr 2022 Design, Specifications
Lenovo-owned Motorola will launch the Moto Razr 2022 with an upgraded design. The foldable phone will say goodbye to the big chin this year. Previous generation models of the Razr featured a thick chin which housed the fingerprint scanner. This time around, the company will move the fingerprint to the side, thus making room for more screen estate.
Jin showed the front of the phone with a hole-punch foldable display and fairly thin bezels around it. He also showcased the phone in its folded state, which revealed slightly more rounded corners and a larger cover display. The Lenovo executive did not reveal any other details of the foldable phone. However, a lot about the Razr 3 has leaked in the past.
According to rumours, the foldable phone will have a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate support. The screen is larger than the Moto Razr 2’s 6.2-inch foldable screen. Motorola is rumoured to introduce a new hinge mechanism but the details remain unknown.
The outer display will also be bigger at 3-inches. Below the cover display is a dual-camera setup. The Razr 2022 is said to feature a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide camera. The hole-punch cutout of the foldable display is said to house a 32MP front camera.
Under the hood, there will be the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It will come with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone is said to support 25W fast charging.
