Motorola will launch the Moto Razr 2022 on August 2. The new foldable smartphone will launch in China and is expected to make it available globally later this year. Motorola has started dropping new teasers of the Razr 2022 as we get closer to the launch. The phone is getting some major design upgrades, which have been highlighted in the new teaser.
The latest teaser from Motorola reveals the cover screen design and other details of the foldable phone. It is now officially confirmed to be a larger screen than the outgoing models. The Razr 2022 will also have a larger cover display than the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 4 5G.
Motorola did not reveal the exact display size of the outer screen. However, the rumour mill claims that the phone will sport a 3-inch cover display. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 5G is rumoured to feature a 1.9-inch display. The larger cover display could be a lot more useful than just checking notifications or incoming calls. Motorola previously teased that the display is large enough to play some games without having to unfold the device.
The larger display can also be used as a viewfinder to click selfies using the rear camera setup, which is placed below the screen. The Razr 2022 will sport a dual-camera setup on the back. Other details of the phone have leaked online. Let’s take a look at the Motorola Moto Razr 2022 specifications and features known so far.
Moto Razr 2022 Specifications
The Razr 2022 will have a 6.7-inch Full HD+ foldable pOLED display with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. There will be support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The thick chin is gone and the fingerprint scanner will now move to the right edge of the phone.
Motorola will launch the phone with a 50MP dual-camera setup. The phone will have a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 32MP front camera inside the hole-punch cutout. Under the hood, there will be a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It will be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
