Motorola launched the Moto Razr 2022 as its new premium foldable smartphone in China. The Razr 2022 received multiple upgrades this time around to take on the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. The clamshell foldable phone is expected to launch in other markets outside China, including India.

Motorola has not confirmed any details about the global launch of the Razr 2022. While we wait for that, a new leak by tipster Evan Blass suggests that Motorola will launch its premium foldable smartphone soon in global markets. Moto Razr 2022 Global Launch Imminent

Motorola has not confirmed the official global launch date of the Moto Razr 2022. The foldable smartphone is expected to launch soon. The device’s press materials were leaked by tipster Evan Blass, aka EvLeaks. These press renders highlight the various new features introduced in the Razr 2022. Motorola launched its clamshell foldable phone with a bigger outer display.

The cover OLED screen is 2.7-inches tall and can be used for playing select games, replying to messages, answering calls, using a viewfinder, etc. There is also a dual-camera setup on the back with a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide camera. The phone also has a 32MP front camera inside the hole-punch cutout.

The marketing images also highlight the phone’s water-resistant features and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. On the inside, the Razr 2022 has a 6.7-inch with 144Hz refresh rate support and a hole-punch cutout. Motorola has ditched the thick chin from the previous generation Razr is gone, which housed the fingerprint scanner below the display.

There is a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and a 3500 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The phone also runs Android 12 out of the box with a layer of MyUX 4.0 on top. The Razr 2022 could be launched globally with multiple storage options. In China, Motorola launched the Razr 2022 with 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB storage options. The phone comes with a starting price of CNY 5999 (roughly Rs Rs 68,000).
