Motorola has announced the Moto Watch 100 一 an affordable smartwatch with lots of features running on the Moto OS. The newest wearable from Motorola is now available for purchase in the US market. It comes with features like a built-in GPS, an Always-on display, a Sp02 sensor, 26 sports modes, and up to 2 weeks of battery life. The Moto Watch is priced at $ 99.99 (around Rs 7,400) and is now available for purchase in the US. It is available in Phantom Black and Glacier Silver colourways.
Specifications and Features
The Moto Watch 100 sports a 1.3-inch circular LCD display and comes with Always-on display support. The wearable is made up of a 42mm Silver aluminium case and comes in a Black silicone strap out of the box. It can be interchanged with any other 20mm strap of your choice. Further, the watch weighs 45.8g and measures 42 x 46 x 11.9mm. The Moto Watch 100 uses Bluetooth 5.0 (LE) for connectivity.
As for the health-related features on the wearable, the Moto Watch 100 offers 26 sports mode support and it is also 5ATM water resistance rated. The wearable also packs in heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, weight tracking, and blood oxygen level (SpO2). On a single charge, the watch is rated to last up to 2 weeks battery (355mAh). A full charge will take 60 minutes, as per the company. It can be changed via the included magnetic charging cradle.
The wearable also comes with built-in GPS (GPS / GLONASS / BeiDou), accelerometer, and gyroscope to help you track outdoor activities independent of the phone. Motorola is also ditching Wear OS for Moto OS 一 a brand new operating system for wearables from Motorola. The OS is said to offer a streamlined experience focused on health and also help in battery efficiency.
The companion app is available on Android devices now with an iOS app coming in December 2021. The Android app is compatible with Android 5.0 and above.
