Motorola Edge 30 is expected to launch soon as the second device in the Edge 30 series after the Edge 30 Pro. Previously, the vanilla Moto Edge 30 was spotted on several certifications sites like the TDRA database, Wi-Fi Alliance, EEC, and Geekbench. Now, the same device has been spotted on the NBTC database, hinting at an imminent launch of the device.
Motorola Edge 30 NBTC Listing
A new Motorola device with model number XT2203-1 has been listed on the NBTC certification website, which also confirmed the phone’s name as Motorola Edge 30. The database report reveals that the phone is manufactured in the USA and it also confirms the phone will support GSM, WCDMA LTE, and NR networks. This also confirms the device’s support for 5G network, just like its predecessor. Apart from this information, the report does not offer us anything else for the time being.
Motorola Edge 30 Specifications (Expected)
As per the Geekbench listing, the Edge 30 will be powered by the Snapdragon 778G Plus 5G chipset. It is an octa-core chipset with one prime core clocked at 2.5GHz (Cortex-A78), three Gold Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.2GHz, and four Silver cores (Cortex-A55) clocked at 1.8GHz. The phone will run on Android 12 out of the box and will come with 8GB of RAM.
The Edge 30 will be the successor to the Motorola Edge 20, which was launched in India back in August 2021. The Edge 20 is powered by Snapdragon 778 and is paired with 8GB LPDDR4X of RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. To the front, the phone has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ POLED screen with a 144Hz screen refresh rate. In the optics department, the phone comes with a 108MP main camera (Samsung ISOCELL GM2), a 16MP ultra-wide and macro camera, and an 8MP 3x telephoto lens with OIS. There is a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies. The phone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery unit with a 30W fast charging solution.
In India, the Motorola Edge 20 was launched at Rs 29,999 and it is now available for Rs 25,999. Apart from the Edge 30, Motorola is also gearing up for the launch of other devices such as Moto G52 and Moto E32.
