Motorola has launched the successor to Motorola Edge 30 series smartphones. The company has unveiled Motorola Edge 40 Pro for the Europe and Latin American markets. Previously, we at MySmartPrice had exclusively revealed the complete specifications of the smartphone. The smartphone renders, and prices were also tipped earlier. As reported earlier, Motorola has rebranded the Moto X40 smartphone launched in China on December 2022. Motorola has equipped the Edge 40 Pro smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage and more. Let us dive into the complete specifications of the smartphone.

Motorola Edge 40 Pro: Pricing, Availability and Specifications

Motorola has priced the Edge 40 Pro smartphone at 899.99 Euros (approx. Rs 81,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. The company said the smartphone would arrive in European and Latin American markets in the following weeks. The OEM also added that some EU countries’ pricing might differ slightly. However, the company didn’t announce the pricing for the Latin American markets.

Motorola also didn’t comment on the availability of the smartphone in the US, Mexico and Canada. However, the India launch of the smartphone will take place by late Q2 or early Q3 of 2023. The OEM has launched the Motorola Edge 40 Pro in Interstellar and Black Lunar Blue colour options. The smartphone sports a 6.67 inches pOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The display gets a centred punch-hole and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Motorola uses a quad-curved panel, and it supports 165Hz refresh rate, 394 PPI pixel density, HDR10+ certification, 20:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Under the hood, it is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC built on a 4nm process. The chipset pairs with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Motorola Edge 40 Pro runs on My UX 4.0 based on Android 13 out of the box.

In the optics department, it is equipped with a triple rear camera setup with an integrated flash in the camera module. The setup comprises a primary 50MP 1/1.5 inch sensor with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF and OIS. Another 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 114-degree FoV and a 12MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom and f/1.6 aperture accompany the primary sensor. The punch-hole in the display houses the large 60MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture.

The Edge 40 Pro is backed by a 4600 mAh battery with support for 125W fast charging tech. The smartphone also supports 15W wireless and 8W reverse wireless charging tech. On the connectivity front, it features Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi 7 ready, Dual SIM and USB type-C 3.2 port. The device is also equipped with dual stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos quad-mic.

Motorola has included support for IP68 water and dust resistance which can survive under 1.5m of water for 30 minutes. The device has a dimension of 161.2 x 74.0 x 8.6mm and weighs 199 grams. Apart from the handset, charger, cable, SIM tool and guides, some markets would get a USB-C headset, protective case and screen protector in the box.
