Motorola is gearing up to launch its new flagship smartphones in global markets, including India. Yesterday, we exclusively revealed the specifications of the forthcoming Motorola Edge 40 Pro and Edge 40 smartphones. A new report from 91Mobiles Hindi, in collaboration with tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, has revealed the renders and marketing images of the upcoming Edge 40 Pro smartphone. Apart from this, another tipster has tipped the European pricing of the forthcoming device. Motorola is expected to launch the smartphone in Q2 of 2023. The Pro model will likely be a rebranded Motorola X40 launched in China in December 2022.
Motorola Edge 40 Pro Renders, Marketing Images, Tipped Pricing, and Specifications
The render of the image shared by 91Mobiles Hindi reveals that the smartphone will feature a curved display. It is similar to the renders previously shared by tipster Evan Blass and Snooptechy. The display has a centred punch hole and slim bezels on the top. The marketing image confirms that the smartphone would have IP68 water and dust resistance.
Motorola has equipped the Edge 40 Pro with a triple-rear camera in a square module placed on the top-right of the back panel. There are two large sensors, a relatively small third sensor, and an LED flash. The company’s logo can be seen in the middle of the back panel of the upcoming smartphone. The top part of the device features the secondary speaker grille and microphone.
The bottom has a SIM card tray, primary speaker grille, microphone, and USB type-C port. The power button and volume rockers are seen on the right. Motorola hasn’t integrated the power button with a fingerprint sensor, which means it has an in-display fingerprint sensor. SnoopyTech has tipped that the 12GB + 256GB variant pricing would start at 899 Euro, which converts to approx. Rs 79,900.
The pricing in India would be much lesser owing to the tax differences between India and Europe. Earlier, we had revealed that the Motorola Edge 40 Pro smartphone would sport a 6.67 inches pOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The display will support HDR10+, Dolby Vision, a peak brightness of 1300 nits, and a refresh rate of 165Hz.
Both the front and rear panels would get Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Under the hood, it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. It will run on MyUX 5.0 based on Android 13 out of the box. The triple-rear camera setup will comprise a primary 50MP sensor with OIS and an f/1.8 aperture.
A 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom will accompany the primary sensor. The punch-hole in the display would house a large 60MP selfie camera. The smartphone would be backed by a 4600mAh battery with support for 125W wired fast charging. It would also support 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging.
