Motorola has been launching many budget and mid-range smartphones in India which are performing quite well in the market. It has been a while since Motorola unveiled any new G series smartphones in India. The existing Motorola G72 has been due for an upgrade for a long time. One of the biggest reasons for the need for an upgrade is the lack of 5G support. Telecom networks in India have been expanding their 5G connectivity every day to new places. Previously, a reliable Indian tipster had exclusively revealed that Motorola will launch the Motorola G73 5G smartphone soon in India. Ahead of the launch, Flipkart has revealed that the smartphone will launch on March 10 in India. The smartphone was unveiled in January 2023 for the European markets.
Motorola G73 5G Specifications
If the smartphone is the same as its European variant, then it will be available in two color options namely Midnight Blue and Lucent White. The device will feature a 6.5-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution. The switching of the display to LCD is a downgrade from the existing G72 smartphone.
The display will have a refresh rate of 120Hz and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Underneath, it will sport the MediaTek Dimensity 930 chipset which is built on a 6nm process. The chipset pairs with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. The smartphone will run on Android 13 out of the box. Motorola also allows to expansion of the storage up to 1TB. On the optics front, it will sport a dual-rear camera setup with an integrated LED flash on the module.
The setup will comprise a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF. The sensor is accompanied by an 8MP depth sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. The display will house the 16MP selfie camera inside the centered punch-hole. A large 5000 mAh battery with 30W fast charging backs the smartphone. On the biometrics front, the device has a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button and supports face unlock.
Motorola also ships the smartphone with a water-resistant design which can protect the smartphone from water splashes. The smartphone charges over USB type C 2.0 and gets Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. The device has a dimension of 161.4 x 73.8 x 8.3 mm and weighs 181 grams. Motorola ships the G73 5G smartphone with n1/n3/n5/n7/n8/n20/n28/n38/n40/n41/n77/n78 5G bands.
Moto retails the smartphone for 310 Pounds in the UK which converts to Rs 30,000.
